Language Festival - Literacy Week

On Tuesday, 10 September, during Literacy Week, the Noordwest Veluwe Library is organizing an educational and engaging Language Festival in collaboration with Landstede and TopTaal.

The Language Festival is for teachers, pedagogical staff, and other professionals working with children. We cordially invite you
to be inspired, gain new insights, and expand your network during this evening!

PROGRAMME
5:00 PM, inspiration market
You are welcome from 5:00 PM and can enjoy a bite to eat. In the central hall and downstairs in the Library, there is an inspiration market with various organizations in the field of language and parental involvement. Our reading media consultants will be at the inspiration market with student-oriented activities in the field of reading promotion and digital literacy. There is also
an overview for 2019-2020 ready for you with the various campaigns, projects, network meetings, and professional development moments.

6:00 PM, symposium on language & parental involvement by TopTaal and Landstede
The symposium starts at 6:00 PM with Peter de Vries, an authority in the field of parental involvement. Peter has written several books for professionals working with children. In a playful, accessible way with plenty of humor, he knows how to hold up a mirror to professionals.

7:30 PM, story writing workshop
After a short break, award-winning children's author Willemijn de Weerd will give a workshop on how to write stories with children. This workshop is full of tips to inspire children to come up with and write down their own stories.
