Improve the language skills of your employees

Good command of Dutch in the workplace has a positive effect on quality, productivity, employability, safety, and mutual understanding.

As a manager, you want colleagues, partners, and customers to be able to rely on your employees. This requires that your employees understand each other, collaborate effectively, and carry out instructions correctly. TopTaal is happy to help you increase language proficiency within your organization. Our programs focus on, among other things, professional terminology in the workplace, learning to communicate with colleagues, managers, and customers, self-presentation, and specific Dutch employee skills.

Customized practical training

TopTaal provides language training that increases listening, speaking, and/or writing skills in the workplace. This includes reading and understanding instructions, speaking with colleagues, customers, and managers, as well as writing work handovers and emails. Because every company and every position is different, we base our customized training on the specific situation and learning objectives of the employees involved. In our training courses, the theory and practice of your employees’ daily activities are integrated. Research shows that this is the most effective learning method.

Personal development

A good command of Dutch is not only important for your company, but also for your employees themselves. Once they have sufficient command of the Dutch language, they can, for example, follow vocational training. It therefore strengthens personal development and increases self-confidence, career opportunities, and the sustainable employability of your employees.

Safety

Miscommunication, not understanding work or safety instructions, and not being able or daring to ask for help can lead to unpleasant and even dangerous situations. After a customized training course, based on your own documents and instructions, your employees will have a better understanding of the various protocols and procedures within your company.

Language proficiency is also important for employees who perform physical labor. If they better understand the information materials regarding correct working posture, such as proper lifting techniques, unnecessary absenteeism can be prevented.

Staff and management

Good command of the Dutch language is relevant for everyone in the workforce. Our training programs are not limited to the operational floor. We can also develop an appropriate language trajectory for staff and management positions. For example: customer-oriented emails, creating quotes, and personnel reports.

Measurable results

It is our mission to help people become sufficiently proficient in the Dutch language so that they can actively participate in society and in the workplace. We always establish an employee’s concrete learning goals in advance and measure whether these goals have been achieved upon completion.
