Subsidy for Dutch language training
As of January 1, 2020, it is once again possible to apply for a RAS contribution for language courses.
Cleaning is a profession. To practice that profession professionally, good training is important; that is why De RAS encourages this by, among other things, providing subsidies for Dutch language training.
Applications for the RAS contribution can be submitted until January 1, 2021, at the latest, or until the budget is exhausted. Through the RAS, the employer can receive a contribution of up to €3,500 per course per participant. The employer pays the costs of the training and the training hours. For groups of four or more participants, the subsidy covers all costs. If there are fewer registrations, we can place an employee on the waiting list or start with a small group. In that case, a personal contribution per person applies.
With a language course or writing course, employees can improve their Dutch language skills. A language course focuses primarily on speaking and listening, while a writing course focuses on writing skills. This is mainly intended for direct supervisors, as their work involves a lot of writing emails and short messages to employees and clients. Improving Dutch language skills ensures better communication on the work floor, but it also gives the employee self-confidence and strengthens their position in the labor market.
